Beginning:
Aakam Montessori Learning centre (AMLC) was established in 2013.
A thought of helping children who cannot reach out to the Montessori schools was the initiation of the journey.
We believe that children have the right to enjoy the process of learning, make
discoveries on their way to accomplishing what they want to learn. But education today does not provide the space or time for it, rather drive the
children towards a race in which they turn into mark scoring machines, where
emphasis is laid on rote learning rather than experiential learning, which then
becomes redundant in life.
It started as an after school initiative where we had helped children from various conventional schools discover the “Joy of learning” within the confines of the Montessori environment.
Our journey continues:
At AMLC children are lead from where they are in every aspect of their development and guided towards their optimal growth. The trained adults provide guidance in a manner that brings out the best in every child. The children show a marked progress in their academic performance, social behaviour and a happiness from within.
This is the only incentive for which we took on this journey.
Our Goal:
To help every child discover the “joy of learning”, for it is not the product but the process that becomes the experience to cherish, which leads to the formation of a self-confident, independent, responsible and a persistent learner for life.
